Taking your own measurements
Our size chart represents the sizing of our stock gowns. All of our gowns are in Australian sizes and range from a standard 6-14. If you find you fall in between sizing we recommend choosing the larger size and having it altered down from there. Our gowns have a relaxed fit with a little stretch, so even if you do choose your standard size we think it will still fit comfortably.
When taking your measurements we suggest having a friend help you.
Bust - Firstly think about if you'll need to wear a bra with your chosen gown. Will it be strapless, stick on, push up? How much padding and support your bra has when its worn will effect your measurements. We suggest taking your bust measurements when wearing your bra of choice or something similar. This will give you a more accurate idea of how your bra will fill out your gown when choosing your size in the size chart. If your bra is too full for the gown you can always change it for one with less padding or vice versa.
Under Bust - This is taken from underneath your bust. Take this measurement with your arms down in a relaxed stance.
Waist - The waist measurement is taken from the smallest part of your torso. Usually near the belly button. Stand up nice and straight and try not to suck in to much.
Hip - This is taken from your largest area of your hip region, this is usually around your bottom. Again, if you find you fall in between sizes, we suggest having a look at the style of your chosen gown. Does it have a gathered skirt or loose fit? An inch or two on your hips wont matter so much if this is the case. Also keep in mind our dresses have some stretch. If you think you will be wearing spanks with your gown, we suggest taking your measurements while wearing them.
